MPPT DuoRacer Series Dual Output Marine Controllers
The DuoRacer marine series solar controllers are the first MPPT controllers designed with dual output. The DuoRacer controller can charge two battery banks simultaneously. The bulk of solar power is used to charge the primary or main house battery bank (batt1) while a lesser amount of solar power is used to trickle charge the secondary battery bank (batt2) which is typically the start battery. The battery banks do not have to be of the same battery type so the primary bank can be LiFePO4 batteries and the secondary bank can be AGM or lead acid. DuoRacer controllers support Sealed, Gel, Flooded, AGM, LiFePO4 and Li-NiCoMn battery types.
Max power from solar panels - DuoRacer controllers have rapid MPP (Maximum Power Point) calculation capability to achieve the maximum output from a solar array. At 99.5% efficiency they are one of the most energy efficient controllers available which means they will convert the maximum amount of solar energy to battery charging power.
Max power to the battery bank - With the programmable three-stage charging mode based on a digital control circuit, the DuoRacer series controllers monitor the battery state of charge and feed the appropriate amount of power to effectively and safely charge the battery banks. This will enhance the life-cycle of batteries, significantly improve the system performance and provide electronic protection features. Protection features include overcharging and over discharging protection and overheating protection.
System Monitoring - DuoRacer controllers include a built in display meter providing the same information as the MT11 remote display meter which is an optional accessory. The DuoRacer can be easily programmed from the built in display, the MT11 remote display meter, an optional Bluetooth smart phone app or a computer connected via an optional cable. The Bluetooth option enables monitoring the solar system from a Smartphone or tablet.
